About Olin Brass Mill Products

The Olin Brass legacy began with the fully integrated brass mill Franklin Olin opened in 1916 in East Alton, Illinois, 20 miles north of St. Louis. Today, the Olin Brass Mill and Casting Facility covers over 300 acres, employs more than 1,000 people, and is capable of producing well over 1 million pounds (450 mt) of copper alloys per day. The primary end product from this facility is copper alloy sheet in coil form, ranging in thickness from 0.0024” to 0.250” (0.06 to 6mm), and is made from cast ingots of any one of over 60 copper alloys.
